A day before a number
Imagine a day you would happily repeat. Where do you wake up? Who gets your attention? What work do you choose to do? What can wait until tomorrow? The answers are personal, and they may be surprisingly modest. A long breakfast. Work you care about. An afternoon without a competing obligation.
Give ambition a destination
Ambition can keep moving the finish line. Each achievement becomes the new starting point, and a larger number takes the place of the last one. Defining enough does not mean abandoning ambition. It means giving it a purpose you can recognise. You might want room to change careers, support a family member or work fewer days. Those are different ambitions with different demands.
Write two sentences
Try completing these: “I want money to make it possible to…” and “I would know I had more freedom if…” Keep the answers concrete. A less crowded week is easier to recognise than a vague sense of success. Your answers will change as your life changes; they are a starting point, not a permanent target.
Bring the question back to your life
Knowing what you want from wealth is one part of the picture. Understanding what you hold and how its risks sit with you is another. Antevo’s free check offers one narrow, practical starting point: comparing a modelled portfolio fall with your stated comfort with loss. It cannot tell you how much is enough. That part remains yours.
